i am currently swaping from tbi to tpi im using a painless wire harness im using a used computer out of an 89 firebird with a hypertech chip for an 88 camaro i have spark and fuel pressure but my injectors have power on both sides no pulse could this be bad comp? thanks in advance

 

did you install the VATS module out of the donor car? without a fuel enable signal, a vats enable ecm will not pulse the injectors.

ok tell me if im wrong im not so good at electrinics if i use the chip for an 88 camaro cause they dont have the vats i think and if i bypass the starter enable relay that should take care of the vats rite?or am i missing something oh and if someone could tell me a simple way to bypass the starter enable relay that would be alot of help

the only thing i used was the computer and the intake & runners maf stuff like that i bought it off e-bay i had to buy a painless harness

in 89' most (??all??) of the tuned port camaros were vats equipped.

bypassing the vats starter enable relay will get the engine cranking. but won't get fuel flowing to it because the injectors will not pulse.
