Question about wiring
hey everyone; i recently went to the junkyard and got a new center console for my car. while there, i noticed that there's this brown wire that powers the light for the E-Brake light in the gauge cluster hooked up to this little metal connector on the E-Brake assembly. well, since my light doesn't work, i checked to see if i had the brown wire hooked up on my e-brake. i did, and it's not getting voltage.
however, this is not my biggest problem right now. when i took off my shifter plate and dug my hands in the back of the console to get to the plug on the e-brake, i pulled out not one but TWO connectors not connected to anything. I have NO CLUE what these are for; I never seen them before.
one has three wires; black, grey, and orange, and currently gets no power, ignition off OR on.
the other plug has a thick yellow wire and a small orange wire. the orange wire is always getting power, whether the ignition is ON or OFF.
so what are these connectors for? my car never had power locks windows hatch or the rear window washer to the best of my knowledge. my RPO codes don't suggest it, at least.
My car is a 1988 Camaro Sport coupe, no power anything, 1985 5.0 liter Tuned Port Injection LB9.
Thanks for any help I can get

When the brown wire grounds, it will turn the brake light on.
Just because a car doesn't have the option, some cars were still prewired for options they didn't recieve. My firebird is wired for power seats & mirrors which it has neither of.
