headlights don't pop up

Looking for any help I can get. My headlights come on but they don't pop up. I can open them manually by turning the motors. And when I turn off the lights they close normally. Any idea's what I should check. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Electrical is my weak point, but I'll try to figure this out. I hate having to take it to a dealer with the rate they charge. Thanks again.

Try replacing the headlight guide relay located near the master cylinder. It says GUIDE on it and has 2 plugs coming out of it, one smaller than the other.

With the hood up, turn the headlights on. Watch the ***** that you turn manually, if they turn; your motors need to be rebuilt or replaced. There is a gel-like substance applied to the sides of the plastic gears inside the motor. Over time it dries up and breaks apart, thus the slipping while the motor is turning under power. It usually won't slip when you turn it by hand. You can order the repair kit from www.ecklers.com . I don't remember the part number. Price is around $10.00. The price for a new motor is around $175.00 unless you can get a used one. Hope this helps.
