Disconnected alarm, how to fix?
My 'bird has a Clifford alarm system from the factory (as far as I know). The previous owner got sick of it going off all the time so he had his half-assed mechanic disconnect it. I don't even want to talk to that guy so asking him what he did is out. All I can find are two bare wires under the hood near the battery. One is white with a stripe (green?) and the other is brown or black with an inline fuse. One must be for the hood-button thing (for lack of a technical term) which is sitting there without any wires attached, but what about the second one? The white one looks just like the wires running to the parking lights, but it's intact.
Is there some sort of module for the alarm under the dash near the ECM? There are three loose wires under there and I have no idea where they go. That "mechanic" might have pulled something when he was screwing up mounting the ECM.
My apologies if this sounds kind of confusing. I'm still pretty new at this.

clifford alarm was a dealer installed option, not a factory one. if you look under the drivers side dash, you'll see several splices into the vehicles electrical harness.
clifford has online install manuals at http://www.clifford.com
but if the alarm is close to the age of your 90' GTA, it's unlikely that they'll support the product anymore. is often best with older alarms to remove the entire system and start from scratch with a newer model.

was a recent thread about alarm shopping:

definetly want a starter interrupt. siren or pager is a matter of preference.
keyless entry and trunk pop are very convient.
if you have an automatic tranny, remote start is nice. run the defroster for a couple minutes in the winter, or cool the car off with the air conditioner in the summer all by remote control. be warned frequent remote start usage will lower your overall fuel economy.
