buzzer for lights reminder don't work???

the buzzer that when you leave the lights on and turn the car off don't work at all. never did since i got the car in nov. anyone no why? it's a 91 rs cnvt. also, what is infl rest, or something like that that shows up on my dash? i don't have anything like that in my 89 rs. thanks.

The door chime fuse is prolly blown... its under your driver's side dash to the right of your gas pedal (the cluster it's in is the convienience center .... the (infl restr) sounds like Inflatable Restraint to me ... I actually don't know for sure but I'd be willing to bet it's your airbag

infl rest is the airbag light. it comes on when you first turn the car on just to let you know that the airbag is working. about the chime...could be a fuse. had the same prob w/my 89. under the dash, by the steering column, there is a plastic black box. on top there should be a small box with prongs that sits on top. mine wasn't connected all the way. as soon as i connected it, it started buzzing. it's kinda hard to explain. you have to remove the panel under the dash on drivers side to get to it. and you basically have to sit in the seat upside down with your head under the dash. i hope this helps some.
