electronic module in distributor keeps goin bad?!

Hey there,

Does anybody know what would cause the electronic module in the distributor to keep going bad? I've replaced it 3 times in like 5 months. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jordan

This happened to my car a few years ago. I bet I went through a dozen ignition modules, it seemed to toast one every month. I made sure all the connections were good, I changed the pickup coil, I used dilectric grease every time I installed a new module. Nothing worked.

I replaced the distributor and it's been fine since then.

make sure ur putting enough dielectric grease on it. other wise it'll keep burning them.
