the heater control vacume lines were melted in the fire..... and they go behind the heater box which I cant seem to get off. has anybody ever spliced these line together? any suggestions? I was thinking some heat shrink tubing sealed off with some silacone would work well, what do you think?

 

That's what I did (minus the silicone) with my EGR tubing when I broke it taking the intake apart (before I knew where to buy it aside from a dealer).

Pep boys also sells this tubing by the foot if you'd rather fix it "properly".
