No Wipers/Wiper Lever Problem

The wipers in my car will only work when I turn the lever all the way to mist. They work, but it sounds like the washer pump is going, but doesn't spray. This is ok for now, but I'd like to fix it.

The lever doesnt click on low or high. I tried replacing the lever, but the problem seems internal. How hard is this to fix? My left turn signal doesn't shut off automatically either.

If this is too extensive, anyone ever wire their own switch to work the wipers? Thanks!

The multifunction lever will pop out of the column, if you pull on it with the wiper switch in the off position - only the cruise control switches are housed within the multifunction lever. The wiper switch is actually mounted in the column, as is the turn signal switch.

My intermitent wipers died when my washer pump died.
The regular wippers worked, but as soon asI turned them on intermittent, they stopped right where, they were.
I replaced the washer pump and they worked fine again.
Try that, the washer pump is only about 20 bucks at NAPA and is easy to replace.
It just slides out of the bottom of the wiper motor.
