Tach WAAAAAyyyyyyy off
A long time ago I thought it would be cool to make my Tach Needle a different color. I took it off, sanded off the orange crap, and applied dark purple tape (my car is purple). I put it back on and wasnt too impressed. I later found out that the tach was about 1000 RPM off. At idle, it would read 2000! I finally got around to replacing the needle today, and now it is even worse. When I first start the car, it will idle at about 1000, which is correct. When I am stopped at a stop light, the needle nearly drops all the way to 0, when it should be at least 6-700. When I put the car in park, it falls to 0. Did I break the Tach? Can this be fixed? Thanks guys!

Maybe I explained what I did wrong. I'll try to be clear this time.
1. I took off the needle, made it purple
2. Put needle back on, 1000 RPM too high
3. Took needle off, put a stock needle back on
4. Needle is wayyyy off again. Idles ~1000 RPM at startup, 0 RPM when I stop the car again after driving it and put it in park.
I need to fix this. I'll be selling it soon, and I dont want anything wrong with it.
Thanks guys.
