Stock Digital Dash Repair

The digital odometer printed circuit board
of my 1987 trans am went bad. an electronic
component broke off. i can fix it myself but
i can not cross reference the number anywhere. the dealer wants over $100.00 to
fix it. Any ideas where to find info on
the electronic schematics, replacement or
repair?

Thanks for the info! Where can i see section 8C? What i actually need is the electrical assembly & component list for the digital
odometer printed circuit board. This is probably a near imposssible request.

What kind of component is it? Is it an 8 pin DIP package in a socket?

No it looks like a square transistor type package with a metal heat sink top with a hole through it.it has 5 pins that were connected to the board.

8C only shows how all the parts of the dash are assembled. The bezels, covers etc. There is nothing to do with circuits or electronics in 8C. Sorry.

I'm afraid GM doesn't include the level of detail you are looking for in their service manuals.
