yes, my drivers info center (DIC haha) keeps saying one of my front lights is out but none are. when i turn the high beams on it says systems ok, but go back to low beams, one of em is supposedly bad.

 

According to my 88 firebird shop manual it is located, "Behind I/P, at base of steering column". The diagnostic tables say to check a dark green wire going from the LMM to the DIC (drivers info center display module) for a short. If good, replace the LMM. Before doing that I would check and clean the headlight connections which corrode easily. The whole system works off of resistance so if you have a bad connection due to corrosion it will change the resistance value of the circuit triggering a fault. Happy hunting!

I have a 89 Pontiac Firebird Formula 5.0L TBI and i put insie a Digital Dash from 87 Trans Am. I have both years service book... but now i see 1 module is missing ----> The Lights Monitoring System for the DIC (Driver Information Center). I was and stopped by GM Dealer Service, but they face was funny when i asked them about it. Stupid dark all.

Anybody have an idead where can i get this module? whats the item number?

Any help will be great.
