I've been thinking about doing a complete gauge swap in my 90 Formula to all Phantom gauges. The largest problem is wiring them up to the sensors and sending units. Can Autometer gauges be connected to the factory senders or will I be forced to have a sender for the gauges and one for the ECM? Can the 5" electronic speedo be connected to the VSS without it screwing with the ECM? I'd like to keep rewiring of the car to a minimum. Here are the gauges I plan to use.
Electronic speedo
Tachometer
fuel level
oil psi
water temp
voltmeter
Anyone with experience doing this type of project let me know how you worked it out.

 

All these gauges will be electrical.
