hatch release acting like remote starter switch

hatch release acting like remote starter switch
need help with any ideas on what might cause this problem it has overridden rhe hatch release and now it does'nt engage as if there in no power going to the unit.Any ideas or a wiring diagram would be useful

This is an automatic? If so, the hatch release relay is grounded through the purple wire that goes to the starter solenoid. This is the same wire that gets 12 volts to the starter from the ignition switch when in the forward start position. Your ground connection has been broken somewhere. Have you installed a remote start/bump switch in your engine bay, or alarm/starter kill switch recently? A diagram would definitely help, someone will post one shortly.
