ignition "clicking"

Here's the issue at hand. I know what's causing it, just not exactly how to fix it. My 92 camaro has that stupid chip in the key and well, it's not making 100% contact when I insert it in the steering column. You'll hear the "click, click, click" as I attempt to start the car. There is a way to bypass this sensor, effectively disabling the chip on the key. I know you have to disassemble part of the steering column to do so. I just need to know the specifics on how to bypass it. Do I just bypass it, or ground it?

Look in the technical article section here. You don't have to disassemble the column. I believe there is a plug that you can jump with a resistor. You are referring to the VATS anti-theft system. The pellet in the key is actually a fixed value resistor. In the tech article section it is well explained.
