car wont start.. is it the battery?
ok here is the problem.. the car wont start ;D when i go to turnt he car on the battery guage is WAY into the red.. so i charge the battery for about 6 hours *thnkinh its full* then i try to start the car.. no problem.. well then if i go back like 15-20 mins later its back into the red zone and wont start... so i charged it for 15-20 .. started it, fired right up. *this whole time when it starts the battery guageis where its suppose to be at. well agian, wait a while, its dead again. So i took the battery to autozone.. they said it was a little low... and "super charged" the battery for 10 mins. took it home, fired up. tired 15 misn later.. fired up.. tried an hour later.. fired up *so i thought it was fixed. *this was as of last thursday* well today i went out riding and i had to back my car out of the garage to get the bike out.. well the battery it totally drained agian.
now here is a little side note... before these "issues" i replaced my driver side front turn signal assembly *the old one kept falling out. so i got one from a caprice they were scraping at work and put it on... its wasnt an exact match up to the light housing , but the wiring was the same and i wasnt throwing a light on inside the car. unfortunatly there was 3 wires to this light.. 1 was further away from the other 2, but the other 2 were both black wires and no way to tell if 1 was pos. or neg. so i just spliced them and put it together.
then after i did that the "issuses" started. could this be the problem.. should i just try to reverse the wires and see it i put them on backwards *but would this really drain my battery in 15-20 mins!!??? * or could the battery be bad *the battery is less then a year old*

yeah man its definitely a short / something running the battery way down. recheck ur wiring for sure. i always though red was positive and black was ground, but i have no idea what the other black one would do, i would just hook up two wires to get the light to work and just tape up the other remaining wire, and see what happens.
