Has anyone ever swapped in a factory gage instrument cluster (with tach.) in place of the "dummy light" setup on a '82-'84 Firebird (NOT a Camaro) ???

700R-4, 3.42:1 rearend, Z-28 suspension, H.O. dual snorkel air cleaner, H.O. exhaust manifolds & system, 180* 'stat, stock ECM. Awaiting 350 swap with CompCams 212/218 --.444/.444 -- 110* LSA

 

I won't ask why you would want to but,,,
after looking over a few wiring diags once before to see if it could be done to opposite way, it doesn't seem to matter which cluster you have but,, the 'idiot' lights use different sensors

:edit: do however swap out the entire cluster if poss.

Yeah I would say not possible unless you want to rewire the whole car.
