Car: '83 Firebird (T/A Clone)
Engine: 350 with L-69 components
Transmission: 700R-4, 2000 RPM stall converter
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt/3.73 ..
Has anyone ever...

Has anyone ever swapped in a factory gage instrument cluster (with tach.) in place of the "dummy light" setup on a '82-'84 Firebird (NOT a Camaro) ???

I won't ask why you would want to but,,,
after looking over a few wiring diags once before to see if it could be done to opposite way, it doesn't seem to matter which cluster you have but,, the 'idiot' lights use different sensors

:edit: do however swap out the entire cluster if poss.

Yeah I would say not possible unless you want to rewire the whole car.
