Intermittent Electrical Problem -- Car Dies

I dunno what's going on here, but I hope someone can offer some insight into my problem.

The car is intermittently loosing all power. When I say all power, I mean it's like the battery becomes disconnected while I'm driving. I loose all my radio pre-sets, and the car just shuts off. The tach even stays at the same spot, it does not drop down to 0.

When this happens, I put the clutch in and wait. After apx 5-30 seconds, the power comes back and I can either pop-start it, or turn the key to start it back up.

I've checked the battery connections and they are fine. I even started the car up and wiggled all of the hot wires coming off the distro block next to the radiator, but it never hesitated.

It seems like a loose connection, but I can hit all the bumps/pot holes in the road and it doesn't cause the problem to happen.

Could a dead cell in my battery cause this?
Anyone have any advice for me?

Thanks,

Thomas.

Well, I'm pretty sure I found my problem. I went out for lunch and it died on me again. This time it would not start back up. I opened the hood and start playing with the wire that goes from the distro block to the starter, and power came back on. It seems I have an internal break in this wire and needs to be replaced.

Just thought I'd share

Thomas.
