Sometimes its bright sometimes not.

Ok i had a low beam go out on the passengers side. No biggy got a new one, put it in, spent the time to make sure the connection was nice and tight and all was good. I had a carbon copy of the drivers side light. Well i noticed about 2 weeks ago and again last night (probably has been happening for awhile though) that sometimes when i turn the lights on the both come on perfect and bright (low beam wise) then if i turn em off for a few minutes or run the high beams for a few minutes and then go to low beams that the passengers side will become very dim (you know that orangeish color you get when the flash light batteries are dieing). I have checked the connection, the batter and alt. are fine and its just the passengers side that does it. the other lights on that side of the car function perfectly as well, just the one light. Its really quite annoying when you come up to some one on the road and go to low beams to all of the sudden not be able to see. Got any ideas?

I would check to make sure the ground wire from the light plug to the chassis is clean & tight.

Ya every thing seems to be tight and clean no problems. All of the wireing looks fairly good (no cracked insulation or burnt spots). The ground was a bit rusty so i took it off cleaned it a bit (so the part that contacted the body was shiney) and then retightened it. No good.
