For the past month my car wouldnt start on random occations. I would turn the key, the security light would come on and it just wouldnt start. Id walk away from it for a half hour, try it again, and it would fire right up. I was thinkin the ignition module was going bad, but now it wont even start. I just get the same security light. I am clueless to what is makin all this happen. IF anybody has run into anything like this please respond. Thanx

Do a search under VATS. (Vehicle Anti Theft System)
It sounds like you having a problem there.
It may be the resistor in your key if you have one of those.
Try a different key if you have one.
There has definitly been pleanty of info on this topic
thrown around here. You should be able to find your ansswer.

 

Do a code test, VATS problem should throw a 46 code.
