weird one! -digital dash
I recently retro-fitted a digital dash, but the odommeter/computer part I'm sure is faulty...
when you switch the ignition on, it all lights up and then the computer sections fades-out after about 30 seconds...
It does this each time you switch on the ignition, but if it's just been on it'll only then come on for about 3 seconds -it's not the display part as when it's off it won't record mileage either
I think it might be faulty capacitors, but seems unusual -any ideas!?
thanks!

check to see if you are putting pressure on the lense cover, mine did the same thing and the clear lense was off setted wich the plastic frame was aplying pressure to it. for example apply a little pressure on the lense to see if you destorts it. this sounds odd but it happens.

Check the cluster light & dimmer control inputs - they control the readout brightness level.
