rear tail light bulbs are not wokring right..HELP!!!
Here is my situation....
The eight bulbs that light up on my rear end are not functioning properly. I think that most of the bulbs have been changed, but some may be original.
The main problem is that my innermost lights, the bulbs that light when the car is in reverse, only light about half of the time when the car is in reverse. Sometimes they will flicker for a second when reverse is selected, sometimes they will stay lit, sometimes they wont light at all.
Do you think it could be fuse related? Also, are the rear tail lights "tied in" with the third brake light at all? I had a few problems with my 3rd brake light as well and I thought that the two problems might be related.
Are there any other sources that tell you what the part numbers are for the correct replacement tail light bulbs other than a Chiltons??

well on your shifter you have the contacts to your reverse lights, may need cleaning or replace. it could be a loose ground or loose bulb.
yes your brake lights connect to your third light through the square pad next to your back latch.contacts may need cleaning there or adjusted
