blown fuse when m.a.f is plugged in

From: seattle/Kirkland wa.
Car: 500,000 mi. 89 Iroc,t-tops.
Engine: 383 stroker,chipped,msd ign, tpi.
Transmission: 700r4 rebuilt
Axle/Gears: LS1 front brakes, 2002 ls1 rear 342
blown fuse when m.a.f is plugged in
just bought a 89 w/l-98,tpi.found m.a.f unplugged, plugged and blew 20 amp fuse. can this be bypassed,should i,or do i need new 1. 89 1le 350 tpi 1500$$$. stole it
