tim i am doing the swap from tbi to tpi
the tpi is from an 86 vette
harness is from an 88 camaro
car is a 1991 tbi
i will need to
1 make sure speedo works
2 somehow keep vats (is that possible)
3 have all gauges working correctly
in australia it is impossible to get any info on this swap manuals are impossibly expensive
i realise that i will have to re pin some of the ecm /harness wires
can you help at all with any of these questions ???
thanks in advance

Steve, long time no see! How ya been?
The TBI and the Computer you will be using both use an external VSS Buffer, so retain your stock buffer, and wire it to the new computer.
Since VATS wasnt' offered in '88, I don't think it will work with the computer (unless its teh same computer as '89, then you could use an '89 PROM) Or you can just use the VATS as a starter kill.
All the guages use seperate sensors from the ECM exept the speedo, so no problem there. good luck.
