ok ... here is the problem.. a while back i bypassed the Vats modual with a resistor. WORKED! it worked for about 5 months... now i am on my way to Cinn. stop in Phoenix and turn the car off. i go to start it again... car wont start..
with no key in the ignition.. the service engine light stays on.. the infl light does as well (almost like it is in the run position) the security light stays on...
ok so i try to push start it.. no luck.. i read that if the security light stays on then i have the wrong resistance.... ok.. well i still am not sure waht to do .. i replaced the ecm..no luck
if anyone has any suggestions pleas help! gotta getout of AZ to hot!

I think you have bigger issues other than a VATS problem, i.e. "service engine light stays on and INF RES light stays on w/ key out of ignition". That certainly isn't good, and may have something to do with it. Find out what the deal is, and see if the "no start" doesn't fix itself.

could this be a ignition problem? it is almossst like it is still in the run position
what do you think? what else might i look at...and as the vats goes... i believe that is the reason the car wontstart because i can jump the starter and used to be able to pop start it... but the security light then came on and stays on..if i read it right that means i have the incorrect resistance? i am drowning here!
please help
