1993 Bose System
Ok I have a 1992 Camaro with a AM/FM cessette radio in it, I want to use a 1993 Bose CD player from a 4th Gen. Camaro, will that work as far as wiring????? Would I have to make any changes or is all GM stuff standard as far as plugs.
There is an adapter harness you have to buy. It makes life a lot easier. The Bose speakers are individually amplified, so the signal from the Bose head unit might not be strong enough to run standard speakers. Let me know how it turns out. Check out my sig.

But in the 1992 Camaros aren't all the wireing included for the Bose cassette player, all I would really need is that AMP relay thingy. Do you have any scamatics of the 1993 vs. 1992,,,,,,,,,, thanks.
Sorry no schematics. My Bose came out of a Corvette, so it was a custom job. I tried to add the 6x9's and 4's when I still had my Bose Head Unit, and it wouldn't hardly power them(really quiet). That's the only reason I said that. I got my connector from Advanced Audio. I don't know what kind of stereo places you have there, but I had to look around a while before I found someone who actually knew what I was talking about. As for the wiring already being in the car, I have no idea, but I wouldn't think that it would be. Unless this is different from the system I had each speaker had a 4 pin connector(12V, GRND, Input, Feedback). The 12V and GRND were for the amp and the input and feedback were for the speaker coils. Since the speakers are amplified the input signal has a low voltage, so you have to really crank up the gain to get any sound out of unamplified speakers, and then you run the risk of frying the head unit. I think that Bose speakers also have a different impedance. You might want to try posting this on the audio forum too. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
