New Problem. Need a new ECM!
New Problem. Need a new ECM!
We have just ruled out the VATS as being a problem to the car not running. This controls the fuel and the pump is fine. Being in the UK I need help finding a new or used ECM for my 1990 T/A. Do I need to quote VIN codes and distributer numbers? Will there be any Summer left before its fixed??

No if you have a V6 1990 T/A than you can get a ECM out of a Corsica or Breddia, or maybe a Calivler, (I know my spelling sucks but you get the point) Baiscly you just have to find another GM car that uses the 3.1L v6 and match your service number that is on the top tag of the ECM with the one your swaping in from another car, BE sure to swap proms from your ECM into the new ECM. What I did with my 1992 is I got an ECM out of a Corsica and took my original ECM that was bad and I wanted to keep my original metal box so I just swaped circit boards and used my PROM. WORKS GREAT!!!!
