I've got a 92 305 TPI engine I'm working on putting into my 72 Ventura. The ECM and original harness I received with the deal is for a standard trans. and my plan is to use a 700r4. I have the diagrams so I feel like I can add a few wires for the Lock up. That leaves me with 2 problems. VATS and the standard trans chip in the ECM. At present I don't have a VATS module at all. Could both of these problems be handled by having the chip reprogrammed? Maybe a new auto trans chip with something else for VATS?

 

Sure can. Transmission type can easily be changed in the chip, and VATS can be deleted from it.
