I read somewhere that someone has found that the reason the power windows might be so slow on F-bodies is that the way the window motors are wired, they actually only receive around 8 volts instead of 12. Does anyone know if this is true? Supposedly when they are wired to receive the full 12 volts, they are just as fast as any other window motors in other cars. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

 

My Grand-Am gets 12 volts and the windows aren't much faster.
