I have been having the problem lately that when my car is first driven, the spedomter does not work and the check engine light comes on. MAYBE after 10 minutes of driving it will fluctuate up and down, then settle down. What could this be, and how much will this be to fix? Thanks.

 

if the error code stored in the computer is one related to the vehicle speed signal (vss), suspect either the vss sender in the transmission or the wiring between the tranny and the ecm.
