Wiring harness woes, please help out!
I just bought a complete tpi setup, but the wiring harness is for the whole car. Is there anyway I can separate it so I can just have the wires for the TPI. I want to switch from TBI on my RS, but I don't want to end up rewiring the whole car. I have hooked everything that I could up to the TPI itself and I still have a huge lump of wires left over, including the parking lights, this is pretty confusing please help me out.
Thanks,
Brad

The TPI and/or TBI harness are both seperate from the rest of the cars harness for the most part. Headlights, gauge sensors & power wires are all routed to the panel on the drivers side just to the right of the brake booster (headlamps are just under). the TBI and TPi ECM harness both come from the pass door mount pillar (just below the pass door lower hinge).
A bit more specifics of what you've hooked up/done so far might be more helpful to getting a more accurate response.
Another semi-helpful item would be a hayne/chilton manual , the revision section that shows how the ECM is wired to the diffent FI's , it would let you compare what wires need to be what.
