tpi -> carb wireing problems

hi, i am currently changeing from tpi to carb. i sliced all the wires leading from/to the ecm and now i am faced with a problem. several things will not work. my car is an 89 trans am GTA and almost everything went through the ecm as far as i know. i cant get my starter motor to work. there are around 6 wires comeing from it and i have no idea what they do. the big one is obviously the negative terminal to the battery, but what about all those little ones on the other screw? my key has a chip in it and i think the starter wont work unless the ecm detects it. the haynes manual says a yellow wire is what comes off the ignition on start but it goes straight to the tranny. can anyone here help me wire up my starter? ive spent a very long time on this problem and the yellow wire only seems to have voltage when its on accesory power and not on start. is there a web page somewhere with a decent wireing diagram of my car?

There is a starter disable relay that is controlled by the ECM that will have to be bypassed. The relay is located under the driver's side dash.

The relay is against the fender wall, up above the fuse panel. It has a pink wire, a blk / yl wire, a yellow wire, and a dark green wire going to it. Connect the yellow and dark green wires together to bypass the relay.
