Rewiring coolant fan sensor?
Has anybody heard of tapping into the coolant fan sensor and wiring it to a sensor on top of the water pump leading to the heater. The sensor has two prongs, and if you tap a wire from the fan sensor to this sensor, it turns on the fan on between 195 and 210, thats my guess. I know it keeps my engine a whole lot cooler, but could this cause damage to the wires or whatever it is connected to the sensor on the water pump. The fan sensor puts out 12v, while the other sensor has no voltage. Any advice or info?
It would be easier to buy a lower temp fan switch, or an adjustable one.

I just taped into the relay the other day... if the wires are the same color. I hooked onto the green/white wire on the fan relay. spliced it with the existing wire, and run that to a switch to ground. Works like a charm for what I wanted.. Keeps the regular switch working normally.. I also hooked up a LED (Light emitting diode, so when the fan is turned on it'll light up.. I've wired it in such a way, so that even when I have the fan switch off, and it comes on normally the light will be on..

does anyone know where to get a lower temp sensor? i could install a toggle switch, that is easy, but i rather not, i think that would be cheesy, i want it keep the car original and not have toggle switches on the interior.
