Fan motor

I have to connect two wires to get my fan motor to run and then when I'm done driving I have to disconnect them. The guy I bought the car from szs the fan wouldnt come on so he connects the two wires each time he drove it. Any advise how to fix this?

Thanks, Tom

Well it is supposed to be controlled by the computer. Terminal D2 of the ECM should connect to Terminal C of the Fan relay grn/white wire. Or by the AC control being turned on grn/white wire on terminal C, The fan should run with the diagnostic jumper (A-B) in on the ALCL plug and the ignition in run but engine not started.

This may depend on your car. this is a 1986 wiring book.
