my service engine light pops on and then my car bogs a bit, and then it goes off then my car goes to normal, what could it be.

Have you done a code retrieval yet? If so what codes were stored? Gonna need more info. A common problem is an intermittent relay for MAF. On the drivers side firewall tap with the handle end of a screwdriver the relays. Sometimes this will reveal the problem. As always with these things, check around for loose connections at the TPS, MAF sensor etc. Also something which is showing up more and more is the ground from the block to the cars frame. The ground strap is usually located behind the dist and is screwed to the firewall. Try retightening it and or cleaning the lugs.
