Wipers gone wild

Every time i put the tilt down all the way, my wipers kick on. It'll go through one cycle and stop. If i hit a bump, it'll kick on again. It used to only do it in cold weather but its doin it all the time now. If I lift the tilt one notch, it wont do it, but i'm not comfortable drivin like that. I know somethin is gettin shorted and im probably gonna have to replace it. My question is, am I gonna have to replace the whole turn signal switch or is it it's own seperate peice???

look at the wiper switch connector at the base of the steering column. if the problem isn't there, try replacing the wiper switch in the column.

turn signal switch is not too expensive and it has to be removed to replace the wiper switch, so you may wish to replace it while you've got the column apart anyways.
