I dunno nor do I care if some consider it rice, but I'll be doing it. It will match my front and rear side markers as well as my daylights. Splash my car with some pearl white paint and I'm all set.

I believe there is a tech article about doing it somewhere, but here's how I understand it. The main things making your turn signals look like crap are the 10 year old reflector and the 10 year old lense cover. First you remove the front turn signals. Then you want to take a razor and cut the lense cover off the front. Inside you'll notice the reflectors and the bulb behind it. The reflector is a plastic piece thats colored yellow. You remove it, and then change the bulb to an Amber bulb. Then you'll need to put it back together. Since the lense covers are prolly over 10 years old, you'll need to get a replacement and glue it in. Nice clear replacment, no reflector and it looks alot cleaner.

I'm actually in the middle of doing this as well. But I'm taking it a step further. I'm making a sequential LED setup and installing it where the bulbs go. I want my turn signals to be sequential and I think the 3rd gen Camaro front turn signals give you lots of room to be creative. When I'm done with my clear front sequential turn signals I might consider making and selling a few sets to people who want them. I also plan to convert my taillights to a sequential setup, as well as my mirrors.

Hope this helps
