converting from cable drive speedo to VSS
i am trying to find out how to convert to VSS in my 84 TA... i have the little yellow buffer and 140 speedo from an 88GTA TPI car...
i need wireing diagrams for both the 88 tpi speedo setup... and the 84 Guage cluster...
i am probably going to need the pigtails for the 88 guage cluster and the buffer as well...
any help is appreciated...
thanks,
Chris

chris, go to the library and get the wiring diagrams from the motor manuals for each year, the library wont let you take the books home but you can make copies which is better cause you dont have to worry about not getting dirty finger prints in the book.
Take them home, study them then figure out where yours are coming from and where you need to go to. Sounds like a lot of work since the VSS is read by the computer and the cruise control. Good luck

'87 Monte Carlo SS,with '89 IROC 350,700 trans, blew up 3.73 posi stuck with crappy 2.73's neeed gears! hooker headers, flowmaster 2 1/2" exhaust true dualls, recently installed a set of alum vette heads 58cc, new cam for a paxton, recently installed paxton, OMG need a posi bad. Found a guy who can build me a ford 9" (yep sorry guys) for less than 500 then comes all the goodies such as disk brakes so on and so on, will it ever end?? I hope not!!
