From: Currently State College Pa, Usually, I live out side of philly.
I'm trying to make the ALDL cable
So my question is,
Do transistors need to be heatsunk to be soldered? and if yes, what should I use to do it, alligator clips?

If it is the plastic housed transistors, then yes I would use a heatsink if you use a solidering iron of more than 15 watts. Alligator clips make good heatsinks, I use them when solidering LED's.
