I need a power hatch release, how can i do this???

I need a power hatch release, how can i do this???
i wanted to have a hatch release with my alarm like i do with my coupe, but my convertible doesn't have the hatch pull down type lock, just catches and the alarm installer said he couldn't have it release the trunk at all by the remote. is there anyway i can do this with my current lock mechanism, or do i need to put a hatch pull down type lock? please help me out. i want to shave my exterior trunk locks so they cant break in that way anymore. thanks.
