ok, 2 completely different problems.... first off.... i was driving over some bumbs and my speedo took a crap and pegged zero and hasn't budged since.... speed cable came lose perhapes?? the other problem has to do with my tach in a seperate incident... over a fairly long period of time it has been creeping to the right, it now says the car idles at like 4.5k or so, when it audibly sounds like it is idling right where it should be... and at pretty much any speed, any gear, the car pegs out, even when i know the engine is not.... any clue? thanks.

 

on the speedo...yeah first thing i would check is the cable...if the cable is intact then check the driven gear

on the tach...the tachs in camaro's are notorious for crap like that...do a search here someone may have posted a way to fix it...me I just got a replacement out of the boneyard
