Car won't start; problem with wire harness!? HELP!

Had some installation problems with headers. Anyways, they were on, all happy...now...

We broke the coolant sensor (on passenger side, above knock sensor)...no biggie...

But there is a grey, oval-shaped harness on the driver's side, with what seems to be three wires going into it; orange, tan, and another tan/or yellowish wire. I have NO IDEA WHERE THIS GOES. NONE.

The PROBLEM is, the car won't start. Everything else is connected fine, and the car mis/back fires. Smoke rises from the throttle body. Wires are all on correctly, plugs in tight, etc. WHAT THE HELL IS THE PROBLEM? I'm getting no error codes on my scanner. HELP!

Where does this wire go in to!?! It better be causing my misfires..because everything else is fine.

Could it be the harness to the oil pressure switch that feeds the fuel pump? An '87 only has 2 wires, orange and tan (maybe tan/white), but the oval shaped connector looks like it has 3 wires.

First off, I found out I broke the fan switch, and we fixed that. No biggie...wasn't a coolant sensor. Anyways, I found out the reason it was misfiring was due to the incorrect placement of wires on the cap because of the old spark plug wires that were on there- it's a long story...I don't feel like typing, but we had to set everything back to TDC and start from scratch. Headers in, timing advanced 7-8 degrees, I just gotta fix the idle now, she idles too low and then jumps to compensate; that's it. It's done. =D

Funny thing is, I still didn't connect that harness. It's not for the oil or anything. We don't know what it's for, but the car works fine...

There are some unused harnesses just dangling on my '87.
