My inline fuel pump relay wiring........?

A few questions. Ive got a 30 amp relay. Power wire for the relay goes to the battery, should this be fused? I assume yes. Relay ground to a good ground. Switched source to a fuse tap in fuse box used for previous smaller inline pump. That leaves the two wires from the pump. One is positive(+) it goes to the relay. What about the negative(-) pole offthe pump? Should this go to the other power blade on the relay(it has two)? Or should this be grounded also? I think I am making this more difficult than it has to be. You guys understand what I mean? My real concern is what to do with the ground offthe pump. The other four wires I am fairly certain of. Any help out there?

For a standard five pin relay:

Pin marked 86 to ign power. Pin marked 85 to ground. Pin marked 30 to fuse then battery. Pin marked 87 to + side of fuel pump. Ground on fuel pump to ground.
