Autometer gauges

I just bought a couple of electrical gauges for my pillar pod. My question is about the oil press. gauge. The kit has a new sender unit. Cant I just splice into the wire that the factory gauge runs with? I just would prefer that the factory and the autometer gauge run together. If I do install the new sender there is no plug in for the factory gauge. Thanks.

I believe you gotta have the senders or it wont read right. I know my oil pressure is kinda funny with my digital guages with stock sender.. My water temp didnt read right with stock sender but when I got the new one its right on so.
