Need pics of MSD locations...........

I just got my msd 6al and need suggestions of where to install it. I've picked the fender where the windshield water container was located at...Next question..I've also got the GM harness which looks easy enough to install. Question is the power wire to the msd....how did you guys hook that up...straight to the battery or splicing it to another hot wire????
