HELP!

Im hooking up an MSD 6a to my other car, a 72 chevelle, it has non-hei, and an external coil. If i interpreted the directions right.. i hooked up the orange wire to the + on the coil, black wire to the - on the coil, red wire to the ignition switch, white wire to the original power wire to the coil... i also hooked up the other ground and power wires to the battery... no fire. No spark.. how did i hook up that white wire wrong?? how is it supposed to go?

Points distributor huh? Did you not have the room to drop in an HEI?

I doubt this will save the day but...

That's from the MSD website for a points-type distributor.

If you have a tach. that's probably your 2nd wire going to the white one on the MSD.

Hope that helps
