This is really getting to me... Every time I turn the car off, when I turn it back on, the blinkers don't work.. Something keeps blowing the fuse...

I don't know where to begin on this one...

I have ran out of fuses to put in there and I can't keep driving without turn signals...

Power should be cut to the signals when the car is off so there's no reason for it to blow from turning the car off. Have you observed the fuse after turning the car off or only after starting it back up & noticing the fuse has popped/signals don't work ? Does the fuse blow while starting, after it running, or after you put it in gear? Which fuse is blowing ? The 'tail fuse' or the 'turn b/u' fuse ?

If i put the fuse in after i start the car, they will work.. then i'll turn the car off.. the fuse will blow.. when the car's off...

If i leave the fuse in and start the car, it will blow.. trust me, i've blown 20 fuses so far on this problem...

im having the same situation it seems like.

i pulled the flasher and the fuse will still blow showing its not any of the wireing to and from any turn signals.

it really only leaves me with the wires from batt to ign switch, ign switch to turn b/u fuse, power wire to gear selector switch, and the power wire to the flasher.

anyone have any advise or first hand experience in this situation.

ohh and 90 firebird formula 350 is the car im working with.
