how do i read my computer?
i got a 89 camaro rs, 305 tbi. just wondering how i read my computers error messages. i got it to start blinking the check engine light at me by jumping pin 5-6, i just cant understand what its trying to say.

When you jump the two terminals the CEL will blink in a pattern, First it will blink 1 then 2 fast meaning 12, it will do this 3 time, then it will blink out any problem codes, each 3 times, when you see it blink 12 again you know you got all the codes.

Buy a Haynes manual at your local auto parts store. The codes will be listed in there. Also the wealth of other information is more than worth the money.
