man I got some probs with my brake lights...

i wired up a new hatch motor and the metal contact plate for an 86 z28, and now the brake lights dont work(dont work, meaning they stay very dim, even the white lights that illuminate my licence plate), except the 3rd one and if I hit the brakes while the car is on and turn the key to the off position, with the brakes still depressed, the car stays on, or if I brake while the car is off, the "Brake" "Choke" etc lights will come on slighty.

Could it just be a grounding issue? Not sure... I've already searched the forums and the grounding issue was all I could find. I might have looked over something.

Please help.

update: If I pull the Hazard fuse, the warning lights, and buzzer shuts off while the brake is depressed.

Update: I fixed it, it was a grounding issue, there are two ground wires that have to connect to the 3rd brake light. Everything is back to normal.
