Headlights run too hot
Headlights run too hot
I upgraded to xenon bulbs with the blue tint (I know, i know, rice... but I live in Missouri and have to drive on a lot of dark back roads for work).
Anyway I hooked up the adapter and the lights work fine. For five minutes. Then they both blink out at the same time. I emailed the guy who wrote the headlight tech article and he told me that they are getting too hot and setting off the headlights thermal breaker.
I know I can wire it directly to the battery, but with limited room on the battery (amps, fans, radio, etc.) I'd rather not do this. Is there a way to lower the temp at the switch. I was going to look for some type of thermal cooling gel (I heard they make one for computers) that I could put on the prongs at the adapter. Anyone have any ideas?
