Fuseblock meltdown

Fuseblock meltdown
The fuseblock in my 82 Z28 has gone into nuclear meltdown at the circuit breaker for the rear defogger. Does anyone have a way to repair this - swapping the entire block looks like a pain in the a*s. Can I install an in-line fuseholder instead?
